DE MITO A METÁFORAS CULTURALES
FROM MYTH TO CULTURAL METAPHORS

Summary/Abstract: The present work aims to identify the origin of some idioms and expressions built around the figure of well-known mythical or historical beings and how they ended up being engraved in the collective memory of a certain ethnolinguistic group of our time. The purpose of this study is to highlight those well-known formulas from the common language, which are highly expressive in their brief formulation, but which sometimes give rise to confusion and improper use, due to the limited knowledge of their origin.
