Summary/Abstract: Extremism as one of the most dangerous anti-social phenomena is generally referred to by experts as any action that differs significantly from normal behavior. However, this does not mean just a criminal act. On the sociological level, extremism can be defined as the set of certain socio-pathological phenomena created by more or less organized groups of people and supporters of such groups, with the dominant rejection of the basic values, norms and standard behavior in the current society. Typical manifestations of extremism include attempting to restrict, suppress, impede the exercise of fundamental rights and freedoms for certain groups of the population, defined by their gender, nationality, race, ethnicity, skin color, religion, language, sexual orientation, belonging to the social class, property including the use of physical violence or threats of using violence against opinion or political opponents or property. The perception of nationalism by extremists is based on immigration against immigrants, the spread of xenophobia. Any behavior that differs from the behavior of the majority society is considered to be hostile, threatening national identity.
