Summary/Abstract: The article is based on the thus far unknown correspondence by Major Stefan Fabiszewsk (former commander of Westerplatte) with the Cracow writer, Janina Skowrońska-Feldmanowa and with the soldiers fighting at Westerplatte in September 1939: Ignacy Zarębski and Stefan Grodecki. Major Fabiszewski and the Westerplatte soldiers are analyzing the military consequences of decision taken by the Headquarters of the Military Transit Depot during the seven-day defence, and reveal many thus far unknown details concerning, above all, the work of the radio station and its operators.
