Summary/Abstract: This study examines and assesses mobility factors and focuses on comparing both regions. The data was gathered by means of a questionnaire survey. The primary method was testing hypotheses about the similarity of distribution in the number of answers. Analyzing mobility factors revealed similarities as well as differences in motivations of respondents. The willingness to commute to work in both regions is statistically not different. Limited mobility is traditionally connected to unemployment. Transport infrastructure and expensive housing are amongst the primary factors that limit mobility. The mobility of Czech respondents is promoted by the fact that they are unable to find suitable workplace in their region. Czech students are better informed about working abroad because they are motivated by higher wages abroad. This study did not find any statistically significant influence of traditional factors such as family or health on the students.
