Summary/Abstract: The study aims to define the economic value of volunteering implemented by ADRA volunteer centres in the country. The economic contribution of volunteer work consists of programming volunteering according to the choice of people, the type of work performed, the list of hours worked per week, choosing appropriate methods and the calculation value of volunteer time to the number of reported hours of volunteer activity expressed through indicators VIVA in comparison with real and expected values that we use when planning costs and benefits of volunteering. The study period dates back to the first three quarters of 2015, the value of volunteer work is measured by ADRA Czech Republic. To define the economic value of volunteer work a sparer wage recommended by the ILO Company was used. The study was prepared in the context of a feasibility test which serves as a marketing base for ADRA humanitarian organization which defines the value of volunteer work with all the volunteer centres of ADRA humanitarian organization in the Czech Republic. Spare wages are defined by the typology of activities by appropriate managing ADRA centres using statistical data on average wages according to the classification of economic activities CZ-NACE in the Czech Republic. The results of the economic value of volunteer work are appropriate to present when submitting a project application for a grant, benefit or subsidy in order to support purposeful and efficient use of the value of volunteer work and the potential of volunteering in health and sustainable social communities.
