Contemporary methods of attracting people in terrorist activities

Summary/Abstract: Nowadays, one of the most significant threats to the CIS countries’ security continues to be the activities of terrorist and extremist organizations, as well as lone terrorists, aimed at undermining the foundations of the constitutional order of states, creating in the public’s mind an atmosphere of fear of terrorists and ideas about the inability of national governments to counteract this threat.The carried out investigation presents the analysis of the social-psychological signs of the people involved in the activities of such organizations, the identification of these signs and the elaboration of specific guidelines, which would allow the employees of law enforcement bodies and special services to apply methodological tools to identify the social-psychological characteristics of people involved in the activities of terrorist and religious extremist organizations.
