Summary/Abstract: The paper deals with the ideological-political and literary work of Fadil Kurtagić, pointing out their connections and mutual influences. Kurtagić was ideologically and politically engaged from an early age. Between the period of World wars he took a break from artistic creation and devoted himself completely to political work. Then he publishes brochures „Intelektualni radnici i radnički pokret“ and „Ciljevi i ustrojstvo Saveza bankovnih činovnika i namještenika Jugoslavije“, which will serve him as an ideological template for the later collection of stories „ Mali ljudi iz velikih škola“ from 1941., which we analyze in more details in this paper. Kurtagić criticizes capitalist society and the bureaucratic system in literary form. And with his practical work in the period between the World wars, but also with the aforementioned collection of stories, he showes his commitment to proletarian ideals and the general prosperity of the social community and the intelectual workers in it.
