International Scientific Conference: “16th International Scientific Conference Security Forum 2023”

Summary/Abstract: This paper is a report on the international scientific conference Security Forum 2023, which was held on February 8th-9th, 2023 in Banská Bystrica, Slovakia¹[1]. The conference, organized by the Department of Security Studies of the Faculty of Political Sciences and International Relations of Matej Bel University, brought together researchers and practitioners from various fields of security studies, such as regional security, cyberspace, environmental and energy security, transatlantic security, hybrid threats, and more. The conference aimed to exchange information and knowledge on current security issues and challenges, and to contribute to the development of security research as a separate scientific discipline. The paper also provides an overview of the speakers and topics discussed in each panel of the conference, and announces the publication of a peer-reviewed scientific collection from the event.
