Summary/Abstract: Economic and industrial espionage represents, today, an extremely serious problem for many countries and companies, as technologies have continued to develop and become increasingly sophisticated. The heavy investments made by many companies and corporations to develop intellectual property are prosperous targets for those who wish to engage in acts of espionage. In this article, we propose a definition of the risks related to industrial and corporate espionage. We will analyze the forms that the illegal actions of employees of large corporations take in order to obtain restricted information and propose some methods of their prevention and detection at the employment stage. We will refer to aspects related to the behavioral analysis of people and come up with recommendations in this regard.
