Summary/Abstract: A feedback is a very important item of any management system. The student´s evaluation of education quality represents one of the feedback method within universities management systems. A lot of various international documents focused on higher education quality management systems – see [1] or [2] for example – ask for such an evaluation. Also most Czech universities perform such an evaluation at present, however, the level as well as approaches used for this evaluation show many system shortcomings. The low percentage of students being involved, the large variability of criteria being used, the insufficient guarantee of evaluation anonymity and mostly casual exploitation of evaluation results by universities top management are the most frequent weaknesses. That is why a special benchmarking study targeted to good working in the field of the students’ evaluation of education quality was a part of the research project No. SP2011/57 „Quality Management Advanced Methods“ which was solved at the Department of Quality Management at VSB-Technical University of Ostrava. The identification of the best practice of such an evaluation, especially at foreign universities, was a main goal of the benchmarking study. This best practice should be an inspiration for Czech universities. The article brings the most important results and findings of the benchmarking study.
