Summary/Abstract: The increasing parliamentary success of extreme-right formations became one of the most significant signals of transforming political systems in west Europe during the 80’s and 90’s. This trend is gaining its importance also in the post-communist countries nowadays. Extreme right has succeeded to occupy parliamentary seats in 14 European countries in last parliamentary elections which took place in the interval of the years 2007–2011 – Bulgaria, Switzerland, Germany, Denmark, Spain, France, Hungary, Italy, Norway, the Netherlands, Poland, Sweden, Great Britain and Finland. The aim of the article is to assess social factors which lead to increasing election support of extreme right in current Europe.
