Summary/Abstract: The teaching methods of role play and simulation primarily occur in teaching for the purpose to liven up rather dull lessons of various subjects. Nevertheless, the use of these methods is not always compatible to every learning style. Some aspects of these techniques may be questionable for students preferring particular learning styles and may even be inappropriate for certain learners. A detailed analysis reveals a relation between learning styles and the teaching methods of role play and simulation. The issue of learning styles is theoretically analyzed and particular learning styles are compared with the impacts of role play and simulation on the students participating in the lesson. The paper also indicates the most efficient use of the teaching techniques in teaching of students with diverse learning preferences.
