Employee Engagement and Multimodal Behavioral Analytics, Generative Artificial Intelligence and Workplace Tracking Systems, and Wearable Augmented Reality Devices in Immersive Digital and Virtual Office Spaces

Summary/Abstract: Based on an in-depth survey of the literature, the purpose of the paper is to explore generative artificial intelligence and spatial intelligence technologies articulating long-term talent pipelines, employee expectations and productivity, and continual staff training in 3D immersive spaces. Throughout July 2023, a quantitative literature review of the Web of Science, Scopus, and ProQuest databases was performed, with search terms including “generative artificial intelligence and workplace tracking systems” + “employee engagement and multimodal behavioral analytics,” “wearable augmented reality devices,” and “immersive digital and virtual office spaces.” As research published in 2023 was inspected, only 168 articles satisfied the eligibility criteria, and 51 mainly empirical sources were selected. Data visualization tools: Dimensions (bibliometric mapping) and VOSviewer (layout algorithms). Reporting quality assessment tool: PRISMA. Methodological quality assessment tools include: AMSTAR, Dedoose, Distiller SR, and SRDR.
