Summary/Abstract: In order to ensure a better quality of life at old age within the context of demographic aging, it is increasingly important to enhance societal awareness on the need for financial security following retirement. The construct of this paper is based on a pilot survey conducted in the Zlín region of the Czech Republic which has identified a knowledge gap within adult population on the subject of pension premium payments and entitlements to pension insurance benefits.
