Summary/Abstract: The paper shows the possibility of linking two groups of subjects which within the protection of critical infrastructure act as relatively independent, yet have numerous mutual ties. This connection is necessary to be defined as a set of specific and enforceable measures. Owing to the fact that in practice the main principle of protection of critical infrastructure is not fulfilled – taking into account the mutual relations, information and raw materials flows, assurance of the integral safety – the paper focuses on the remedies to be sought in strict coordination by the Czech government, enforceable legislation, systematic education and information campaigns for the public and the responsible persons in public and private sectors.
