Summary/Abstract: The article is an attempt at presenting a small panorama of reflections on the category of delight-enchantment as a poetic impulse and as a theme in selected Polish poems from the turn of the 20th century to the year 2022. It starts from a discussion of the need for delight in contemporary literature. Apart from exemplifications, illustrations and observations on the subject of poetic enchantment in contemporary Polish poetry and the paths leading to it, the author proposes here to examine various poetics and conditions enabling delight to appear or to be absent in contemporary poetry.
