Summary/Abstract: The main goal of the submitted article is the evaluation of main changes in the regional scope of the City of České Budějovice in terms of the commuting to work between 1991 and 2001. Commuting to work is the crucial regional process of functional interactions in the settlement system. The delimitation of regions based on the commuting to work allows the identification of the crucial processes, which influence the current regional scope of the City of České Budějovice.
