Summary/Abstract: This article addresses the issue of freedom of refugee children in crisis situations, by focusing on the case of the Ukrainian refugees currently settled in the Republic of Moldova. It engages the notional aspects as well as the normative framework regarding freedom, the forms of freedom, and the dimensions of freedom from the perspective of eason, struggle, creation, love, and humanity. The forms of freedom are schematized in the context of how children’s rights to freedom and security are addressed in crisis situations, in light of an ongoing project aimed to reduce the educational difficulties faced by Ukrainian refugee children in the Republic of Moldova. The methodogical approach is aimed at elucidating the documents that establish the legal dimension regarding the status of refugee children, their access to education, digital resources, social and intercultural activities.
