Summary/Abstract: The paper deals with studying and evaluating the regional competitiveness in the countries of the Visegrad Four. The aim of the paper is the formulation of an econometric panel data model, based on the knowledge of theoretical concepts and approaches of economic theories dealing with the issue of competitiveness, productivity and growth theory and its application to the regional level of the 35 regions NUTS 2 of the Visegrad Four, which are presented by the database of selected regional indicators reflecting the level of competitiveness in the reference period 2000–2006.
