Summary/Abstract: When working in health care, we must necessarily take into account the issue of service development. Many doctors and nurses still struggle with the legacy of former health care systems focused on disease and not the client. Innovation is a response to local conditions and needs of patients or clients. Innovations in health care are defined as the process of achieving changes to improve the structure, process or outcome of care. In order to enable innovation there must be a desire for change and deliberate steps must be taken. The author focuses on describing the situation and a description of the problem of certain medical devices, solution of the problem, expected outcomes and barriers to implementation. She assumed that an increase in customer satisfaction would have an impact on increasing company profits.
