1923-2023: what remained the same and what changed in our political life

Summary/Abstract: The article is an analysis of the 1923 political regime, compared with the current one. Five elements of the political system were abandoned: the monarchy and its discretionary power, the electoral bonus, the exclusion of women, the age of majority at 21, and the compulsory voting. Four elements survived: a proportional electoral system with majoritarian effects, governmental instability, the National Liberal Party and, recently rediscovered, the government rotation .
