Summary/Abstract: The paper presents the research into the public opinion of the Ukrainians, their attitude to the issues of feminism, feminization processes and modern female designations. It summarizes the results of the interactive sociolinguistic survey. The questionnaire contained questions regarding the respondents’ attitude to the ideas of feminism, the need for using separate female status and title designations, the respondents’ approach to the reasons for their appearance in the Ukrainian modern language, the active use of the female designations in the Ukrainian public discourse as well as the reasons for using or not using these designations by the respondents themselves. The study was carried out using questionnaires, quantitative and correlation analysis. As a result, a link between acceptance of feminist ideas and perception of feminization of the socially active female designations as one of the ways to establish gender balance was revealed (the correlation coefficient between the surveyed parameters is statistically significant).
