Summary/Abstract: Authors of this contribution present results of a marketing investigation relating to Czech products’ promotion at the groceries market and the regional brand knowledge. It concerned the chance of home alimentary products with the respondents and the willingness of buying food products of home provenance. A significant number of consumers prefers local-made food; they are interested in the ingredients and health impacts. Safety, quality and support of domestic producers become substantial factors influencing consumers’ decisions. This work summarizes the questionnaire surveys that took place from 2006 to 2008 and dealt with consumers’ preferences at the food market, the protection of the domestic market in farming and food goods as well as means of promoting these products at the market.
