Monica Lovinescu – Birth Centenary 1923-2023

Summary/Abstract: Between November 16-19, 2023, the Monica Lovinescu - Birth Centenary (1923-2023) series of cultural events took place in Fălticeni, organized by the Institute for the Investigation of the Crimes of Communism and the Memory of the Romanian Exile in partnership with: the National Council for the Study of Security Archives, Fălticeni City Hall, Fălticeni Rotary Club, Suceava County Council, "Petre Andrei" University from Iasi and "Artis" Association. During the 4 days, 4 film screenings, 3 conferences, 3 exhibitions, 2 debates, 2 book launches and an essay contest for high school students were organized. During this whole period, there were about 1000 people in the audience.
