Summary/Abstract: The structure in the employment rate gets closer to the structure of other market economies (European Union), decreases the size of the manufacture sector and the agriculture sector on behalf of the service sector that was only little developed before transformation. The paper deals with following and evaluation of one indicator that characterizes labour market, thereby employment rate is in the national economy. The paper processes statistical data in the selected region and that is South Bohemia and its individual districts.
