Summary/Abstract: The article is oriented to that specific group of refugees that are in the Czech Republic and in particular to women as asylum-seekers. First of all, where women as asylum applicants differ from men gets discussed, followed by the contextual risk factors as well as the asylum application, together with everyday life in the asylum organisational infrastructure. The final theoretical chapter talks about the integration of women as asylum-seekers into Czech society. The research was carried out in 2008 using the Qualitative Method. The technique of „half-structured interview“ was engaged. The local research was the Asylum Integration Centre in Zastávka u Brna. The outcome for 5 women, asylum-seekers, was described with the help of the case study.
