Summary/Abstract: The article deals with the problem of tolerance/intolerance to the word coinage of the Russian vocabulary. Th e computer sphere presents a new type of texts. Carnival is considered as a specific emotional and expressive function of the computer jargon the attitude to which is not homogeneous. Carnival is one of the main conditions of appearing of a new lexical unit. Besides, the authors off er the classification of neologisms of this kind. Th e tolerant attitude to the process is quite contradictory. On the one hand, it is considered as aggressive. But on the other hand, it shows the tolerance of Russian word coinage structures to other linguistic systems.
