Summary/Abstract: From the general point of view we can understand tourism marketing as a section of service marketing. However, tourism marketing has some specific features which cannot be traced in other services. Th is paper was intended to describe these specific features. Special attention was paid to the term attractiveness of a tourist destination which can be broadly understood as the image or brand name of the specific tourist destination, but is also influenced by some specific factors which other services do not feature.
