Summary/Abstract: One of the tasks of education is the search for new ways to improve the educational activity, with the possibility of greater independence and creative expression of the students. One of the ways to achieve this is through the use of interactive methods in education, and in particular in the education in Geography and Economics in junior high and high school stages of education. In this article, the following interactive methods are presented: method of mind maps, method of „flipped classroom“, and their application in lessons of selected methodical units, Geography of Europe section. Following to the didactic tasks, there are different types of lessons, with the highest share in the Geography and Economics curriculum and the most flexible structure being the lesson for learning new knowledge. The specified interactive methods can be successfully applied both in the lessons on other subjects, in the lessons in general education and advanced training, and in other types of lessons – lessons for skill formation, lessons for summarizing and systematizing, lessons for control and evaluation.
