Summary/Abstract: The catholic historian and theologian Prof. Jan Sedlák (1871-1924) teached at diocesan seminary at Brünn. The object of his studies was personalities as M. John Hus, Stanislav of Znaim, Stephan of Páleč, Nicolas of Dresden and Jacobellus of Mies. In 1919 he received invitation to teach at roman catholic theological faculty at Bratislava (Pressburg), which was planned to found at Bratislava Comenius University. He lead the negotiations about this possibility with Dr. Otakar Sommer from the Ministerium of schools and people enlightenment in Prague. After reflection of his good position in Brünn Sedlák rejectected this possibility.
