Summary/Abstract: To conclude, we are confronted with new dangerous phenomenon – systematic destruction of trust to public institutions, political class, leaders and mechanisms of their functioning. It goes without saying that democracy needs control, supervision of the policies pursuit, strong media able to restrain bad political attractions. Lord Action was right saying that each power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Division of power, checks and balance, effective supervision mechanisms are probably indispensable conditions for preserving of the open society. On the other hand, however, if these mechanisms actually are in place and work the government should not become an object of absurd attacks and unreasonable accusations comparing them with the greatest criminals and murderers in history.
