Gender perspectives on a fair work-family balance

Summary/Abstract: Labour, family and gender equality represent three of the main human dimensions, which are in a more and more complex relation of interdependence, and which can trigger major imbalances on the society and the economy if not approached in an inte-grative manner. This article aims to analyze to what extent the women and men of Romania and the EU manage to juggle their family duties and their professional responsibilities, challenges with which they are confronted and possible solutions in order ensure their equality with respect to the opportunities on the labour market and their treatment in the workplace as well as within the family.
