Summary/Abstract: This study aims to examine the career goals and attitudes of high school students who participate and do not participate in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) education. Within the scope of the research, students' motivations for participating in STEM education, their career goal setting processes and general attitudes were discussed. Findings show that interest in career opportunities in STEM, family and teacher influence, and personal curiosity and interest shape students' motivation to participate in STEM education. Additionally, STEM-oriented fields such as medicine, computer science, and engineering stand out among students' career goals. It has been determined that students who participate in STEM education are more likely to have a higher impact on their career goals and use their STEM knowledge. In general, it has been found that young people tend to use a variety of strategies and methods to develop their interest in STEM subjects.
