Summary/Abstract: This research aims to examine the situations in which tourism workers operating in Mersin province encounter occupational deformation. The main purpose of the study is to determine the strategies of workers in the tourism sector to cope with deformation, the symptoms and sources of deformation, and to evaluate workplace communication and support mechanisms on this issue. With the case study model used in the study, the data obtained from the interviews with 20 tourism employees in Mersin province were evaluated with the thematic analysis method. Findings show that tourism employees generally experience professional deformation due to factors such as challenging work conditions, communication problems and role ambiguity. It has been observed that physical fatigue, emotional exhaustion and loss of motivation are at the forefront among the symptoms of professional deformation. Intense workload, workplace policies and professional relationships have been identified as the main sources of deformation. Distancing from work, seeking support, and emotional control have an important place among employees' coping strategies with deformation. It has been determined that communication with colleagues, support from management and workplace training programs are effective in workplace communication and support mechanisms.
