Reasons and Consequences of Coverage of Violence in the Media

Summary/Abstract: Author in his paper analysis reasons and consequences of coverage of violence in the media. Short-ly, he includes researches dealing with influence of medial violence, then, consequently, he deals with reasons of wide space that the media give to violence, power of its impactn and groups that are mostly affected by media violence. Author comes to a conclusion that it is more needed pay attention to coverage of violence than to fight for the media without any violence, to emphasize the fact that violence is not presented in „fancy dress“ and the media shall not promote violence for free.
