Summary/Abstract: After the end of World War I and the dissolution of Austro-Hungary the conditions were met to unify the Serbs of Vojvodina and Serbia. There were doubts in the Serbian people as to how to make this unification happen: whether Vojvodina should unify immediately with Serbia or by the mediation of the National Council in Zagreb. The answer to this question was given by the Great National Assembly held on 25 November in Novi Sad where a decision was passed on the immediate unification with Serbia.
