Summary/Abstract: The paper deals with the comparison of conceptual images of function among secondary school students. The main purpose is to compare the understanding of the concept of function between students of the business academy and secondary grammar schools with different specializations. The article defines the terms "concept image" and "concept definition", describes the methodology based on the evaluation of the questionnaire and the most important results of the analysis of the obtained data. As part of the analysis, the "concept image" of function of mathematics teachers and their students is also compared.
