Słownictwo uczniów szkół galicyjskich z przełomu XIX i XX wieku (na tle ówczesnych gwar uczniowskich z innych regionów)
Students’ vocabulary from Galician schools at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries (within the context of student dialects from other regions of the time)

Summary/Abstract: In the article the author presented a historical student sociolect who per­formed in Galicia. He excerpted material from studies devoted to the nineteenth-century dialect of students: Przyczynki leksykalne. Tom 2. Trzy gwary uczniowskie: wielkopolska, królewiacka, galicyjska by Henryk Ułaszyn and Gwara uczniowska krakowska by Franciszek Magiera. The author presented the collected lexical material: he divided the lexis into them­atic categories, and he also discussed it in terms of nomination techniques. Moreover, the author confronted the resource of Galician lexis with notations concerning other regions (Congress Poland and Greater Poland), thus he indicated supra-local lexis. The author used studies recording the words and phraseologisms of students from the Congress Kingdom of Poland and Polonia Maior (a text by Ułaszyn, a work Gwara uczniów lubel­­skich z lat 1875–1885 by Ignacy Wolanowski and small article Przyczynek do gwary uczniow­skiej z Warszawy [bearing the initials ”J.K.”]). The author also presents the issue of the vari­ability and durability of student vocabulary; he confronted the collected material with the material recorded in studies from time after the Partitions of Poland and interwar period: O gwarze uczniowskiej by Ignacy Schreiber, Gwara uczniowska w Lublinie by Franciszek Gucwa and Przyczynki do gwary uczniowskiej w Poznaniu i Trzemesznie by Edward Klich, Piotr Ciuła and Włodzimierz Czarnecki.
