Summary/Abstract: The paper presents the financial cost of Mitrofan Ban’s trip to Russia where he went to be ordained as the Metropolitan of Cetinje in 1885. The prepared source testifies to the important practice of Montenegrin metropolitans who went to Saint Petersburg to be ordained. At the same time, this source is a contribution to Montenegrin-Russian relations during the 19th century.
