INTERVIEWS AND RECOLLECTIONS OF DOBRILA GLAVINIĆ KNEZ-MILOJKOVIĆ

Summary/Abstract: The paper presents a critical edition of the manuscript of Dobrila Glavinić Knez-Milojković’s selected interviews and her recollections of Milka Vulović, Delfa Ivanić and Maga Magazinović. These persons gave a strong contribution to the women’s civil movement in Serbia in the early 20th century. They were selected among 155 women with whom Dobrila Glavinić talked to or wrote about because their participation in humanitarian associations, their patriotic and feminist engagement and professional efforts before and during the 1912–1918 wars represent the paradigm of female activism in Serbia. The way in which the author organised her writing gives insight into the system of valuation of women’s contributions to Serbian and Yugoslav society, and her attitude towards the legal, social and political emancipation of women.
