Preparing teachers to conduct IT education in grades I–III of primary school

Summary/Abstract: Including IT education in early childhood education is an essential element of modern upbringing. Multimedia IT means are a new opportunity for students at the younger school age to develop, enrich their personalities and develop their interests and talents. Therefore, early childhood educa- tion faces a new and difficult task, often exceeding the capabilities of the most experienced and talented teachers. The aim of the article is a literature study in the field of IT education, informa- tion technology at school at the stage of early childhood education, the competences of early edu- cation teachers in this area, and the diagnosis of these competences in relation to work experience — based on my own research.
