Summary/Abstract: Systematic, daily contact with books promotes the child’s comprehensive development. It stimu- lates intellectual and emotional development and allows children to express themselves. The article will present examples of initiatives taken by kindergarten teachers aimed at introducing children to works from the canon of children’s literature and the encourage youngest to associate with lit- erature.
