Summary/Abstract: The graphicalness of the lexical level of the Eastern liturgical language finds its sources in the archaic and popular forms, in the joining of the Latin, autochthonous and Slavonic elements, in the suggestive power of the derivatives and compounds, and, particularly, in the variety of the repetition figures, whose harmony enhances its meanings through the addition of those of the ambiguity.
