Summary/Abstract: The article presents the history of the Gdańsk episode of the Monte Carlo Rally in 1966. The one of the most important and, in the same, most controversial edition this famous event. Author based on the documents from the archives of Automobilklub Morski, and old articles, reconstruct the route, preparations and organizational details of the rally column’s, with stayed in Gdańsk during the way to Monte Carlo.
