Summary/Abstract: The article presents a pedagogical approach to a place that can become a significant point of reference for educational activities. Pedagogical thinking undertaken with awareness of the place allows to strengthen educational activities for the benefit of people and the local community. It triggers the need to develop closer links between education and place. Especially when the anxiety of the place is revealed during the meetings of the inhabitants of Kashubia and Żuławy Wiślane. A place understood as a space of experience intertwines objects, physical spaces and people in a special way. In order to understand the place and build bonds with the place, it is crucial to meet the inhabitants of the local community. Then, during Pomeranian wanderings, the orientation to local matters sharpens as a result of finding traces of the past and many voices. In the stories, points of description are established that refer to the experienced suffering and anxiety. At the same time, there are still omissions and understatements among many inhabitants of the region as a result of local experiences. The local community’s ability to transcend foggy anxiety and exchange thoughts teaches its members, generating local knowledge, and shaping the conditions for building a public sphere.
