Summary/Abstract: The article is an analysis of the apocalyptic phenomenon in the novel Późne życie by Inga Iwasiów. Jacques Derrida’s notion „apocalypse without apocalypse” is an initial point for the reflection about post apocalyptic discourse and the role of literature in the process of building a new world.
