Summary/Abstract: Today’s man spends more time with his phone than in any other activity, except for sleep, although this is also most often seriously affected. Due to the time spent in the company of technology, to-day’s youth in particular feel increasingly isolated and alienated. One of the digital dysfunctions of the contemporary world, observed by specialists, is the risk of depression. Ironically, electronic devices and especially smartphones, which have the ability to connect people from one corner of the world to another, often end up separating and isolating us from the people closest to us. The article examines how technology can induce a lack of communication and an emotional distance between subjects.
