Summary/Abstract: This year is the tribute year of the pastorate of the elderly. Wise youth realize how much trouble and trials old people have gone through and how much sacrifice they have made for the young. Young people who have the power to do many good things should learn from the venerable elders who have experience. In Romania we are facing an unprecedented phenomenon: young people going to work abroad. The elderly stay at home and often have no one to help them. They spend the last years of their lives alone and sad. The priests are standing close to them. The old, for the young, are the apostles of a redeeming Christian teaching, even in these secularized and secularizing times.
