Analýza justičních fondů uložených ve Státním oblastním archivu v Zámrsku a možnosti jejich využití
Analysis of Justice Administration Archives Kept in State Regional Archives in Zámrsk and Possibilities of Their Use

Summary/Abstract: Justice administration archives kept in State Archives offer a large variety of topics for study and documents for practical use. Taking one of State Regional Archives as an example, an analysis of such justice administration archives has been carried out that were concentrated in the Archives, processed and made accessible to public in the last years. Attention was paid to their contents, ways of processing and possibilities of use by researchers. The analysis was carried out based on author’s own expertise with archives processing, analysis of archival guides (especially archive inventories and catalogues) and with use of specialised studies, relating to the respective topic, written by archivists. Archives of 27 courts of law, five state attorney offices, seven procurator offices and ten other justice offices were presented. The conclusion of the study confirms variability of possible use for political, administrative, cultural and economic history and reveals, at the same time, difficulties in processing justice archives and reasons for their frequent fragmentation. Despite this, the archives of courts of law, state attorneys and procurator offices and other justice administration represent a frequented source to learn about our recent history.
