Summary/Abstract: The article focuses on phrasemes with the component husa (goose); its aim is to show how the word husa is reflected in Czech dialects, and to describe the motivation of the selected idioms and their meaning. In Czech folk phraseology, the units with this zoo-appellative are among the more commonly represented. The material, coming from the Archive of Folk Language, is being gradually processed in the Dictionary of Czech Dialects.
